Mission description
Safran Actuation Systems UK is a global design, manufacturing and support centre for actuation and flight control solutions used on commercial, military and rotorcraft platforms. With sites in Wolverhampton and Banbury, the team plays a key role in providing innovative, reliable and safe systems that ensure the best performance of aircraft. The role is part of the Business Systems & Transformation team and aims to enable the company to make data-driven decisions by bridging the gap between raw data and insight.
Responsibilities
- Data Architecture & Strategic Insight – Design and implement robust Tableau dashboards by linking complex data structures to generate high-value insights.
- Digital Transformation – Play a key role in deploying next-generation data tools aligned with the company's long-term digital strategy.
- Infrastructure Optimization – Streamline and simplify existing data tooling to improve system performance and user adoption.
- Automation & Systems Integration – Develop process automations to eliminate bottlenecks and improve transactional efficiency.
- Software Collaboration – Collaborate with the Senior Software Integration Engineer to support the custom application development lifecycle.
- System Integrity & Sustaining Engineering – Ensure high availability and performance of reporting suites, proactively monitor data pipelines and visualisation tools to maintain a reliable environment.
- Leadership & Methodology – Work synergistically with Enterprise Data and Advanced Structures to standardise best practices and ensure data integrity.
- Stakeholder Management – Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal business units.
Profile / Skills
- Technical Skills:
- Visualisation – deep mastery of Tableau to create interactive and impactful dashboards.
- Software Development – knowledge of .Net to support existing Web Applications.
- Database Management – SQL for complex extractions and transformations.
- Automation – mastery of process automation and integration of legacy systems.
- Analysis – solid experience in data analysis.
