Role Purpose To lead and deliver the communications strategy, drive employee engagement, and develop an inclusive culture for Safran's Actuation GBU during and beyond the current integration period. This role is vital to ensuring Actuation's people and culture strategy supports business growth, employee experience, and brand reputation during a critical period of integration and transformation. It supports change management and leadership development, ensures culture alignment across countries, and drives diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and continuously evolve robust internal and external communications strategies (including crisis and digital communications) in line with Actuation's business priorities and Safran Group guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all functions and countries, supporting the BU vision and integration journey.
  • Serve as communications lead for change initiatives, providing expert support for integration activities, business priorities, and leadership development.
  • Define and articulate the Actuation culture/DNA, ensuring clarity of values, behaviours, and expectations.
  • Provide counsel to leadership, serving as a culture and engagement subject matter expert in key business initiatives and forums.
  • Lead the integration of Actuation culture across all geographies, partnering with HR and business leaders to embed cultural attributes and best practices.
  • Design and implement robust cultural change management strategies that support integration and growth objectives of the global Actuation business.
  • Be a visible role model and ambassador for change management and cultural values, challenging the status quo and driving transformation.
  • Manage resistance to change proactively and address emerging challenges impacting cultural assimilation.
  • Monitor transformation progress through qualitative and quantitative measures, adapting approaches as needed.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I):

  • Develop, deploy, and track effectiveness of the division's DE&I strategy, collaborating with Group and local champions.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring DE&I strategy remains measurable and action-oriented.
  • Develop and lead the engagement survey strategy, including planning, analysis, actionable follow-up, and clear return on investment.
  • Leverage feedback loops and focus groups to supplement survey data and inform strategy.
  • Plan and execute high-impact engagement events, campaigns, and communications for all employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement in employee engagement and wellbeing metrics.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in communications, employee engagement, leadership, and/or culture transformation in a complex, global organisation.
  • Strong track record in developing and executing communication strategies and change management programs, including integration and large-scale transformation projects.
  • Proven experience of leading and managing people and teams.
  • Skilled in cultural assessment, listening strategies, and employee-centric program design.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and delivering major events and engagement campaigns.
  • Passion and expertise in DE&I strategy and implementation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with agility in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior executives in a multicultural environment.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, HR, Change Management, Organisational Development, Business, or related field.
  • Further qualifications in Change or Project Management, DE&I, or Internal Communications are desirable.
