Are you a talented CAD/DMU Integration Specialist looking to contribute to the development of industry-leading air frame solutions? Carbon60 is seeking a skilled professional to join their dynamic and collaborative Wing R&T team based in Filton, UK. This is a contract role that will last until December 2026.
As the Wing Air frame Research and Technology DMU Integration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in leading, developing, and validating DMUs (Digital Mock-Ups) for the Wing Airframe R&T Department. This position will allow you to work closely with stakeholders from across the organisation, blending your technical expertise, project management skills, and in-depth understanding of the aviation industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the wing airframe R&T wing design team has a real-time DMU
- Facilitating data exchange of DMU aligned to export rules
- Performing DMU quality checks and clash checks
- Creating and maintaining the Product Structure
- Ensuring processes and tools are functioning as needed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience with CATIA V5 for creating and validating 3D models, including system installation
- Familiarity with 3Dx and exposure to DMUi & SSCI activities
- Knowledge of the aircraft build process and basic understanding of aircraft systems
- Experience in handling PDM/VPM tools and linking CAD models with design in a context environment
- Good understanding of aircraft function, operation, and processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements
