We’re currently supporting a major engineering and technology programme within the defence sector and are looking to speak with experienced Technical Leads to join a highly skilled team working on complex, next-generation systems.
This is an opportunity to provide technical leadership on advanced embedded software projects, guiding development activities while remaining close to the technology and engineering challenges.
The Role
As a Technical Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving the technical direction of embedded software solutions, supporting engineering teams and ensuring software is delivered to the highest standards.
You’ll work closely with software, systems and hardware engineers throughout the full development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership to embedded software engineering teams
- Designing and developing software in C and C++
- Working with IBM Rhapsody within a model-based development environment
- Defining software architecture and supporting technical decision-making
- Overseeing software integration, verification and validation activities
- Collaborating with systems, hardware and integration teams
- Supporting the resolution of complex technical issues
- Conducting technical reviews and mentoring engineers where required
- Ensuring software is developed in line with project and quality requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong software development experience in C and C++
- Hands-on experience using Rhapsody
- Previous experience leading technical teams, projects
