Carbon60 is seeking a talented Surface Technology Specialist to join their team in Filton. If you have a passion for developing and deploying materials, processes, and test technologies for design and build, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts, and solutions to enable the design, build, and operation of aircraft.
- Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects to enhance performance, reduce costs, and shorten timelines.
- Adhering to EHS (Environment Health and Safety) regulations, such as REACh, by utilising eco-efficient materials and processes.
- Adapting existing corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate-free environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in aerospace materials, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in aerospace materials (metallic and composite), surface treatments, coatings, and sealants.
- A degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Material Engineering, or a similar field is required.
- High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
