First Article Engineer / Quality Engineer. This Activity Is Inside IR35 (Umbrella Company Required). £32 p/h. Urgently seeking a Quality Engineer / First Article Engineer to be based on-site full-time for approx. 3 months supporting a customer program in Derby.
Responsibilities
- Complete a thorough and accurate preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with the customer and AS9102 requirements.
- Work with customer personnel to gain access to / obtain all the required supporting documentation to support the preparation / completion of the FAIRs.
- Where issues are identified, work with the customer to identify potential solutions to ensure the FAIR preparation process can proceed.
- Provide concise feedback to customer quality, engineering and design teams on road-blocks and facilitate feedback.
- Maintain FAI tracker for review status, outcome and any issues identified.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years, in the last 5 years, aerospace experience in either a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering capacity.
- Strong and robust working knowledge of AS9102 at the current revision, in addition to a sound understanding of the requirements of AS9100.
- Strong understanding of Delta FAI requirements.
- The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, supported by strong aerospace fabrications background.
- Working / hands on experience with Visual FAIR, preparing FAIRs advantageous.
- Ability to articulate FAI issues both verbally and in writing.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with the use of Microsoft Office applications and custom databases.
