Location: Broughton
Pay Rate: £37.12 per hour (Umbrella) / £27.75 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Duration: Until 31/12/2026
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5-day week, between 7am-7pm)
Clearance: BPSS+ required
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
About The Role
A leading aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team. You will support production operations by delivering projects that enhance and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, quality, and cost targets are met.
This position is ideal for someone with strong project management capabilities, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and experience working in a production or engineering-led environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct process mapping and requirements definition to support business improvement.
- Lead analysis, design, development, integration, acceptance and deployment activities.
- Create lifting processes and support crane-related operations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks and dependencies.
- Produce full project documentation in line with governance requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and shop-floor teams.
- Develop technical specifications based on operational and business needs.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Project Management experience (LBIP, Agile, PM tools such as Planisware)
- Engineering degree or relevant experience
- Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management
- Ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences
- Experience working in a production environment
- Familiarity with FMEA, SWOT, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Flowcharts (advantage)
- CATIA and Jig & Tool experience (desirable)
- Experience with lifting/handling methods (advantage)
