Reporting directly to the Production Manager or to the Repair Station Manager, you will be responsible for all activities of one or more repair production lines. In this scope, you will manage a repair production team with the support of one or more Lead Repair Technician(s). You will also manage the Certification / Return to service activity.
Your objectives and Missions:
- Manage your team with the aim of meeting objectives for safety, quality, costs and delivery, in line with customer requirements and SAO strategy.
- Improve performance within your expanded scope of responsibility.
- Ensure that multidisciplinary teams capitalise on experience and move up the skills chain.
- Develop versatility, autonomy, cross-functional applicability and innovation, in line with the Safran model.
- Provide a vision and unite the teams around the entity's challenges.
- Ensure that competencies and resources are maintained at the highest level within the expanded scope.
- Ensure the accessibility and quality of data in the sector.
- Guarantee the use of and compliance with referential.
- Ensure compliance of all production processes and the correct application of all directives (Part 145 regulations, HSE, etc.).
- Keep up to date documentation and procedures relative to your scope.
- Ensure the required transformations and change management in line with CSS global requirements.
Some key responsibilities:
- Manage the employees within the Production Line team.
- Guarantee a safe environment of work and lead any necessary actions to ensure safety of your team.
- Manage workload-capacity balance in coordination with the production manager.
- Allocate workload based on needs & manage/escalate priorities within the department.
- Manage HR Processes: hiring/onboarding/training and PDR of the team.
- Promote a team operation in accordance with the values of the Safran Together Model.
- Maintain a working environment that complies with HSE requirements and ensure the safety of the teams working under your responsibility.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Aviation/Aerospace Component Repair Knowledge including CMM, Quality systems and manuals.
- Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
- Performance management (quality, costs, deadlines).
- Production management/repair management.
Competencies:
- Technical Knowledge, Risk Management, Continuous improvement/Lean, HSE requirements.
- Skills Development, Organizational Skills, Leadership Capabilities, Interpersonal Skills, Change Management, Process Oriented.
- Communications Proficiency, Time/Priority Management, Problem Solving/Analysis, Discretion.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years / Engineering degree.
- General or Mechanical.
- 3 to 5 years' successful experience in manufacturing, installation, or repairs would be a considerable asset for this position.
- Experience in team management would be a plus.
- Strong production/repair management and performance management skills.
- Profile with proven initial experience in a similar field and immediately operational.
- Good oral and written communication skills essential for interaction with both internal and external customers.
