Join one of Ayrshire’s largest engineering employers. Prestwick Aerosystems manufactures aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. As part of the Airbus family, we deliver safe, reliable and high-quality aerospace products. We are looking for Approved Operators (Skilled Fitters) to join our production teams and support the manufacture of aircraft wing structures through hands-on, practical work. You will work as part of an experienced production team manufacturing aircraft wing structures and components, using approved instructions and engineering data to carry out a range of manufacturing, assembly, sealing and finishing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble aircraft wing structure components to approved quality standards
  • Carry out sealing, coating and finishing in line with engineering specifications
  • Use hand tools, equipment and systems safely, including tooling checks and TPM activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment

Requirements for the Role

  • A completed apprenticeship in a relevant manual or technical trade (with papers)
  • SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification
  • Experience working from technical instructions, drawings, or manufacturing documentation
