Urgently seeking two Quality Inspectors to be based on-site full-time for approximately 3 months supporting a customer program in Derby. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in aerospace inspection, performing inspections according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.
Supporting the Final Inspection Process, the support will include:
- Visual inspection
- Dimensional inspection using hand measurement equipment
- Reviewing completeness of manufacturing documentation (e.g., CofCs, routers, etc.)
- Document inspection and preparing non-conformance reports as necessary
- Updating customer systems
Experience Requirements:
- More than 2 years of aerospace experience within the last 5 years and at least 3 years in an engineering environment
- Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Experience with fabricated parts that are welded and riveted
- Knowledge or experience with AS9100 and AS9102 standards is highly advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- EU Nationals or Passport holders only, to ensure access to technical data
Work schedule: Monday 3pm - 1am; Tuesday - Thursday 3pm - 00:30am. Pay rate between 6pm and 00:30/01:00 is £30/hour. This activity is inside IR35 (Umbrella company required).
