Overview
Join a leading international company in the construction and engineering industry as their Building & Construction Project Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project management professional to make a significant impact on the delivery of crucial building services projects. The Building & Construction Project Leader will be responsible for setting up and managing multi‑functional project teams to deliver projects in accordance with the company’s internal requirements and compliance procedures. The successful candidate will lead these teams through the detailed design of building services for a range of projects, including major plant replacement and refurbishment works.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update and monitor project delivery plans.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities.
- Manage capital expenditure business cases from preparation to delivery.
- Develop detailed design briefs for building services projects.
- Liaise with clients, architects and other design team members.
- Prepare reports, drawings and specifications.
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Project manage suitable projects.
- Monitor installation works on site and ensure compliance with technical and health & safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to lead, motivate and manage multi‑functional project teams.
- Previous experience in a senior project management role, ideally within facilities management.
- Demonstrable experience in capital investment project management and delivery.
- Strong understanding of building engineering services, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using industry‑standard design and project management software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications or memberships (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET).
