Carbon60 is currently looking for a Skilled Production Technician to join a client based in Farnborough. They are pioneers of High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) technology.
Contract details
This AIT Skilled Production Technician position is on a contractual basis of 21 weeks from starting. It has both PAYE and Umbrella rates available.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionic and mechanical equipment installation, wiring, and system integration of UAV platforms
- Manufacture avionic in-house components as required
- Maintain detailed build records
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety processes and reporting
- Self-certify completed work
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement of the production system
- Actively participate in problem-solving and corrective action delivery
Ideal candidate / Qualifications
- Hands-on, multi-skilled practical avionic/electronic engineering technician
- Demonstrated knowledge of production and maintenance processes to high-quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translating requirements into finished products
- Proven experience in proactively solving technical problems
- Practical experience in the production of avionic hardware and wiring installations
- Quality-conscious approach and strong organisational skills
- Proficient in conducting and recording installation and system integration tests
- Relevant academic qualifications (NVQ level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience)
- Time-served apprenticeship in avionic/electronic manufacture, installation, or testing
- Previous experience in the Aerospace sector
- Appropriate IT skills for the role
