Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Electrical Inspector to be the first line of defence against electrical defects in our customers' production environment. Using a combination of hands‑on inspection, electrical testing, and data‑driven analysis, the role verifies that all wiring, components, and subassemblies meet the company's engineering specifications, code requirements, and customer obligations. The Inspector works independently, but collaborates closely with Design, Production, and Reliability teams to drive continuous improvement, close non‑conformances, and maintain a culture of safety and quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Electrical Inspection & Testing – Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of wire harnesses, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, connectors, and electrical enclosures using calipers, multimeters, insulation resistance testers, continuity mats, and software‑assisted tools.
  • Interpretation of Schematics & Documentation – Read 2‑D/3‑D schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs. Translate them into inspection plans, tolerance tables, and checklists.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • IPC620 – Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
  • Understanding and handling of ESD products.
  • Performing electrical inspection verification by use of measurement hand tools such as Digital Volt Multimeters, Ohmmeters.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
  • Basic problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable

  • IPC610 – Electronic Assembly Standard.
  • ATE programming and testing.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Logical approach to problem‑solving and data interpretation.

This role is inside IR35, and candidates will be required to work via an Umbrella Company.
