Shifts: Initially standard days (no uplift). After training, move to double-day shifts with 20% shift uplift.
Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Quality Lineside Engineer, helping ensure product, process and service conformity across a high‑volume production environment. You’ll be the go‑to quality specialist on the line - supporting investigations, driving corrective actions, and presenting quality insights to local leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide specialist Quality support on drawings, parts, processes and support services; independently assure that Quality requirements are met.
- Conduct surveillance to ensure the Quality Management System is adhered to across the business.
- Ensure certification processes are consistently defined and applied.
- Lead and coordinate reported quality/technical issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions via multi‑functional teams and timely feedback to originators.
- Perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLBs, NCs) to assess probable root cause and trigger corrective/preventive actions – generally within one shift.
- Carry out problem‑solving analyses (e.g., PPS, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and support non‑conformance reduction.
- Compile and present Quality overviews to the area leadership team.
What you’ll need:
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Proven problem‑solving toolkit (PPS, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- Confident data analysis skills – comfortable interpreting datasets/graphs and drawing conclusions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: able to challenge constructively and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience working within major manufacturing environments (aerospace ideal; automotive/production/manufacturing backgrounds also considered).
- Quality experience is essential.
Work pattern:
- Start on a standard day shift (no uplift).
- After full training, transition to double‑day shifts (alternating weeks):
- Mornings: 06:00‑13:10
- Afternoons: 13:30‑20:40
