About you
We are looking for a Procurement Associate to join our Operations team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role based on-site at our Stockport office, with no direct reports. This person will work closely with the Procurement Manager to support day-to-day procurement, logistics coordination, and stock management activity across the business.
Summary of Role
The Procurement Associate will act as a critical second pair of hands in the procurement function - picking up incoming requests, managing logistics tasks, updating stock records, and ensuring orders are placed accurately and on time. The role will evolve as the business grows, with real opportunity for the right person to develop into a specialist. This is not a role where you'll be handed a complete process and told to follow it. You'll be expected to take ownership of tasks end-to-end, flag problems before they escalate, and keep things moving in a company that operates at pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of procurement activity, including raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing supplier correspondence.
- Help manage and maintain stock records in NetSuite, ensuring system data accurately reflects physical stock at all locations.
- Assist with logistics coordination including arranging shipments, managing labels and dispatch documentation, and liaising with couriers such as UPS.
- Monitor shared inboxes and action or triage incoming requests, escalating to the Head of Procurement where required.
- Conduct stock validation exercises at office locations (Stockport and Chiswick) on a quarterly or as-needed basis.
- Support hardware allocation across delivery projects, helping ensure the right equipment reaches the right site on time.
- Research logistics and import/export requirements for international shipments (e.g. duties, customs documentation, carrier options).
- Maintain organised procurement records and assist with reporting as required.
- Contribute to identifying process improvements as you develop an understanding of how AeroCloud's procurement function operates.
What are we looking for?
Essential:
- Motivated, organised, and able to work at pace - AeroCloud moves quickly and the role demands someone who gets on with things.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks through to completion, without needing every step defined upfront.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and data systems to manage and validate information.
- An enquiring, commercial mindset - always asking whether there is a better, faster, or more cost-effective way of doing something.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to how AeroCloud operates, which may differ from other organisations you have worked in.
Desirable:
- Some understanding of procurement processes - how goods are sourced, ordered, received, and reconciled.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts - how goods move, what is required to ship internationally, and what can go wrong.
- Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment where processes are still being built.
- Exposure to procurement or supply chain qualification pathways (e.g. CIPS Level 3 or above) - either completed or in progress. Not essential, but a desire to develop in this direction is valued.
- Experience with NetSuite, or similar ERP/stock management systems.
- Experience supporting operational or delivery teams with hardware or physical asset management.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary.
- Best in Class Share Options scheme.
- 25 days PTO + statutory holidays.
- Take your birthday off work on us as well.
- Extensive upskilling and training.
- Digital Nomad Scheme.
