Job Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a Materials Planner.
This will involve ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production, reporting all shortages or misaligned deliveries.
Updating and maintaining the ERP supplier database.
Coordinating with other departments such as engineering, production, stores, logistics, to ensure that materials are available when needed.
Responsibilities
Main Duties
- Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
- Analysis of MRP data to ensure the company are procuring material within cost constraints.
- Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products, coordinating with Stores team
- Managing schedule changes, and cancellations as directed by the Planning Resource function
- Reviewing inventory levels of materials and ordering additional quantities, when necessary, based on business requirements
- Ensuring that materials are delivered on time
- Monitoring costs associated with materials purchases and maintaining supplier records
- Update daily production meeting with accurate material shortage information
- Proactively update & maintain supplier contact details, costings and any other records
