About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our powered access depot in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading powered access equipment (e.g. boom lifts, scissor lifts, PAVs).
- Clean and prepare machines for hire and return.
- Carry out basic visual inspections and report any faults or damage.
- Maintain a tidy and safe yard environment.
- Support engineers and drivers with general yard duties.
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or plant hire environment preferred.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Good attention to detail and a safety-first attitude.
- Forklift or telehandler licence desirable (training can be provided).
- Team player with a positive and proactive approach.
