About the role

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Technical Department. Reporting to the SVP Technical, you will play a key role in reviewing and processing technical publications from OEMs and regulatory authorities. Additionally, you’ll support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of commercial aircraft components and manage inventory for customer programs and contracts.

This is an office-based role with occasional international travel to conferences. We’re looking for an aviation professional with experience in a Technical or Asset Management position within an Airline or MRO. Responsibilities

  • Review and process technical documents (SBs and ADs) from OEMs and regulators to assess component inventory risks.
  • Analyse trends in equipment anomalies and reliability, identify root causes, and present recommendations and solutions to customers, suppliers, and leadership.
  • Advise on adopting ADs and SBs within a commercial parts supply process.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to analyse component removal rates, suggest improvements, and lead discussions with manufacturers to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting parts in repair and overhaul.
  • Manage warranty claims, challenging OEM and MRO vendors when necessary.
  • Manage OEM subscriptions, annual spend, and company-wide access.
  • Work with Supply Chain on reliability reports for contracted customers.
  • Support various departments (Sales, MRO, Supply Chain) to ensure modification standards are understood and processed.
  • Assist the Technical team with modification standards for assets.
  • Guide pricing teams on modification standards that add value during asset use or acquisition.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and 145 requirements.
  • Review new OEM information with the team for technical meetings and share it with the rest of the business.
  • Continuously improve asset onboarding and inventory management processes.
  • Support investigations into new capabilities or platforms.

Experience & Skills

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of EASA, FAA, CAA regulations (Part M, Part 145) and airworthiness record-keeping.
  • Strong background in aerospace, particularly in a technical environment, with a solid understanding of quality systems.
  • Expertise in engineering principles, aircraft life cycles, and reliability.
  • In-depth knowledge of OEMs, airframe & engine types, airlines, and MROs.
  • Confident in technical-commercial negotiations and representing AerFin.
  • Proficient with IT tools, especially MS Office and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accurate data handling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present analysis concisely and collaborate effectively in teams.
  • Committed to staying updated on industry and commercial development.
