About the role

Due to exceptional and continuous growth, we are currently seeking a Paralegal to join our legal team in Newport, Wales / Crawley, England. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Legal Team and other internal staff members. This entails tasks like drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting thorough legal research, and managing various administrative and legal matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling administrative tasks for the Legal Team, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of contracts and spreadsheets, legal matters, processing invoices, and coordinating document execution.
  • Completing KYC forms and reviewing KYC / AML documentation, monitoring sanction alerts in our compliance tool.
  • Assisting in drafting and updating data protection documentation.
  • Assisting in drafting and reviewing various legal documents such as NDAs, terms and conditions, transactional documents, company procedures and policies.
  • Assisting in drafting board minutes and/or written resolutions.
  • Maintaining legal templates and precedents.
  • Assisting with implementation of legal tech tools.
  • Liaising with internal departments and externally.
  • Responding to legal requests and triaging matters.

You will ideally need the following:

  • Law degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Previous legal experience in aviation and/or corporate M&A, commercial or finance preferred but not essential.
