About the Role

The Finance Data Analyst will play a key role in transforming finance reporting through automation, standardisation, and self‑service insight. This role focuses on reducing manual, spreadsheet‑based reporting and improving the speed, quality, and consistency of financial insight across the business. Working closely with Finance, Commercial teams, and IT & Transformation, you will design and deliver automated dashboards and reporting models that create a trusted single version of the truth and support better, data‑driven decision making.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated finance and performance reporting using Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and related tools
  • Replace manual spreadsheet reporting with robust, repeatable, and well‑governed automated solutions
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate reporting needs into clear dashboards, MI packs, and analytical outputs
  • Develop reporting models to support financial performance, commercial insight, and management reporting
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to finance definitions and controls
  • Enable self‑service reporting, reducing reliance on ad hoc data requests
  • Continuously improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency, usability, and insight quality
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis to support decision‑making, business cases, and performance deep dives
  • Produce documentation and guidance to support adoption and consistent use of reporting tools
  • Become certified in future finance data platforms and support the development of consistent underlying finance data models
  • Act as a subject matter expert for finance reporting tools, standards, and best practices

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a Finance Data Analyst, Finance MI, or Finance Reporting Analyst role
  • Strong understanding of finance reporting, performance management, and management information
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Power Query, and Excel, with a proven track record of reporting automation
  • Ability to design end‑to‑end reporting solutions from requirements through to delivery and adoption
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy
  • Proactive mindset with a strong interest in finance automation and analytics

Nice to have:

  • Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in an asset‑heavy or operationally complex environment
  • Understanding of analytics architecture (data models, semantic layers, governed reporting)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks for Finance, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting reporting transformation initiatives

In return we offer:

  • Discretionary Bonus Scheme
  • Volunteering Leave
  • Life Assurance
  • Pension Scheme
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Healthcare Scheme
  • 28 days of annual leave with an option to buy or sell an additional 5 days per year
  • Electric Vehicle Leasing Scheme
  • Multi-gym pass discount
  • Grandternity Leave
  • Appreciation & Festive Reward
  • Social events and much more
