About the Role

We are looking for an Engine Technician. In this role, you will be integral to our maintenance operations, supporting both our in-house and customer-owned aircraft engines, modules, and engine transportation stands. Reporting to the Engine MRO Operations Manager, the role involves hands‑on maintenance activities and is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our aircraft engines.

What you'll do:

  • Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with regulatory standards and efficiently navigate OEM manuals such as Engine Maintenance Manual (EMM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Power Plant Basic Maintenance Manual (PPBUM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) and Shop Procedures Manual (SPM)
  • Adhere to Part 145 regulatory requirements, along with MOE and FAA guidelines, to maintain quality standards in all maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure safe working practices in line with AerFin’s Health and Safety policy, including correct handling and disposal of waste oils and fuels.
  • Conduct tool control processes, including pre‑use checks to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate regularly with the Engine MRO Operations Manager regarding production schedules and maintenance issues.
  • Participate in regular meetings with internal stakeholders to provide updates and support collaborative efforts.
  • Handle materials and components related to aviation maintenance, especially with CFM56‑5B/7B engines, including quick turn, assembly, module swap, and lease transitions.

What we're looking for:

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship, certification in aviation maintenance or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Solid experience in an aviation workshop environment, with a thorough knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and navigating OEM manuals and technical documentation.
  • Boroscope Inspection experience
  • Strong technical abilities, keen attention to detail, and a demonstrated understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team‑oriented approach.
  • Forklift Truck License desirable
  • Familiarity with V2500 and CFM engines, Quantum software, BSI standards and Boroblend materials is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting within weight limits, in varying workshop conditions.
