Aer Lingus, Ireland\’s only “4-Star” airline (*As awarded by SkyTrax World Airline Star Rating) are recruiting for permanent Direct Entry First Officers with Aer Lingus UK, based in Manchester. Aer Lingus are dedicated to delivering an exceptional travel experience to their customers. A320 candidates will be offered the incredible opportunity to undergo a CCQ and gain an A330 type rating.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Safety First: Ensuring the safety and well-being of all customers and crew maintaining the highest safety standards by carrying out your duties in line with company policies/procedures and in accordance with Aer Lingus UK Operations Manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Handling customer queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues effectively, and making every effort to meet and exceed the needs and preferences of all passengers.
  • Teamwork: At Aer Lingus UK we believe we are stronger when we work together. You will be collaborating closely with your fellow flight and cabin crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Job Entry Requirements

Your qualifications and key criteria

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction.
  • Must be able to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas* which is a pre-requisite for the role (for travel to/from the United States).
  • Hold a valid passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel. Ability to report for duty within 120 minutes when on standby duty.
  • UK ATPL or ATPL (f) licence.
  • A330 / A320 Type-Rating.
  • Time on type: A330 – flexible, CCQ – 1,500hrs on A320 LPC must be valid upon commencement.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. ELP level 5 required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, unsociable hours, weekends, holidays and overnights.
  • Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check.
