Our client has built a strong reputation as a leading provider of asset maintenance and project services across major infrastructure programmes.
With a significant pipeline of long-term, high-value contracts covering 11k V - 132k V networks, they are looking to strengthen their team by adding an electrically trained Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage MV/HV projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across the full lifecycle of electrical connections and infrastructure works.
- Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones, deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance against agreed budgets, programmes, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant electrical, technical and industry standards.
- Attend project and client meetings, providing regular updates on progress and performance.
- Support commercial management, including monitoring project costs, variations and change control.
- Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure projects are being delivered safely and effectively.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, records and project close-out requirements are completed.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with an electrical background
, ideally with experience working across MV/HV infrastructure, connections or major electrical projects, ideally within live factory environments
You will ideally have
- A strong electrical engineering or electrical infrastructure background.
- Proven experience managing MV/HV connections from grid to ring main.
- Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and mobilisation through to completion.
- Strong programme, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, contractors and project teams.
- A good understanding of health, safety, quality and compliance within an electrical infrastructure environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets and change.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The flexibility to travel regularly to project sites across the UK.
