To support the workshop team by testing, inspecting, repairing, and overhauling components within the assigned section. The role focuses primarily on electrical components, including Generator Control Units (GCUs), emergency power supplies, pyrometers, and galley heaters, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out workshop activities within the Avionics or Heater departments to meet customer and operational demands.
- Test, inspect, repair, and overhaul electrical and electro mechanical aircraft components to approved standards.
- Update and interact with scheduling and production boards, providing feedback on daily progress, issues, or concerns.
- Adhere to and maintain all standard operating practices and procedures at all times.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in an engineering or workshop environment is preferred.
- Experience within an aerospace, avionics, or electrical repair environment is desirable but not essential.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
