AEJ Management are an expanding facilities management service company who provide security guards, cleaners & landscapers to retail, shopping, trade, leisure and business parks across the UK. We have a vacancy for the role of a full time Trainee Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team. The role will be based at Meole Brace Retail Park in Shrewsbury.
Pay: £12.21 an hour, rising to £13.50 within a 9 month period
Hours: 25 hours per week, rising to 35 hours per week (Mon to Fri)
As a Multi-Skilled Operative you will be fully involved in the cleaning, landscaping & general maintenance/handyman duties of the site in accordance with the Assignment Instructions and specific tasks as outlined in the cleaning schedule and patrol matrix. You will also have some basic DIY skills and be happy to learn and get involved with standard Landscaping duties on site. To begin with, the role will consist mainly of cleaning but you will be upskilled & trained with the Landscaping aspect, gaining various certificates & accreditations. Over a period of 9 months your hours will gradually increase, as will your hourly rate of pay. You must also hold a full driving licence as there is a requirement to drive a company vehicle whilst on site.
Your Duties Will Include The Following:
- Car park and communal area cleaning - including the emptying of public bins.
- Litter pick common areas within the site & sweeping all and any curb edges.
- Basic DIY duties (to be discussed and agreed at interview stage)
- Basic Landscaping duties (to be discussed and agreed at interview stage)
About You:
- Have previous cleaning experience
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Possess good health and fitness.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable.
