We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive growth in the Customer Experience (CX) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO/BPS) space within the Central Government sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong public sector background and a track record of leading and closing complex, technology-enabled service deals. You will be skilled in developing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships, particularly at the C-suite level, and will have the ability to navigate the complexities of public sector procurement. Key Responsibilities: * Lead strategic client engagement, fostering strong relationships and positioning the organisation as a trusted partner. * Drive strategic deal origination by building key relationships that translate into tangible business opportunities. * Oversee sales processes, ensuring deals align with commercial, legal, and operational standards. * Support transition to service delivery, ensuring seamless handover and early-stage account management. What We’re Looking For: * Proven track record in sales leadership within the public sector—must have successfully led and won large, complex deals. * Deep expertise in CX, BPO/BPS, and technology-enabled services, with experience in both front-office (contact centres, AI-enabled solutions) and back-office (business process automation, operational efficiency) environments. * Ability to navigate slow and complex government procurement processes and drive opportunities through to closure. * Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, particularly at the executive and senior leadership levels. * Experience leading large-scale solution development—not just IT-focused, but in designing business process solutions that deliver real outcomes. * Comfort with complex sales cycles and solution shaping, particularly where technology (including AI) plays an enabling role. If this role is a match to your current experience, please apply and we will be in touch should you be a suitable fit. AEJ Consulting is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy
