Senior Pensions Data Technician

REMOTE BASED

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Pensions Data Technician to join their Scheme Events team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical pensions expertise who enjoys project-based work and wants to lead on data-driven initiatives across occupational pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead scheme events and data projects from planning through to delivery

Review and support the work of junior team members

Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

Key Tasks:

Extract, cleanse, transform, and upload pensions data

Build and test bulk calculations and communications

Develop and maintain Excel templates, macros, and reports

Keep clear audit trails of all work and communications

Provide regular progress updates to project leads and management

What My Client Is Looking For:

Essential:

Strong experience with DB pension schemes and technical calculations

Skilled in bulk data analysis and pensions admin systems

Advanced Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, IF formulas, date functions)

Solid project management skills

A-level Maths or a degree with a mathematical element (or equivalent experience)

Desirable:

Professional pensions qualifications (e.g. PMI)
