The role involves overseeing strategic and transactional engagement throughout the lifecycle of contracts, developing and maintaining strong partnerships, and enhancing client satisfaction and their overall experience. You will assist in the development of the business's digital roadmap and global delivery aspirations by communicating effectively with clients and ensuring successful buy-in for continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services by leveraging the capabilities of the business, where applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the effectiveness and efficiency of current systems, processes, and controls, offering suggestions to improve service delivery.
- Actively manage client relationships, communicating operational changes, and securing client approval where needed.
- Ensure the successful delivery of services and manage opportunities to grow client accounts.
- Ensure the timely delivery of agreed client expectations and contractual obligations.
- Oversee the management and completion of any Change Control Notes or Letters of Variation for tasks performed outside the scope of the original contract.
- Approve invoicing in accordance with the contract and services provided.
- Support short- and long-term client strategies, ensuring all clients have up-to-date account plans that are reviewed regularly (at least monthly) to identify new opportunities.
- Lead client meetings, ensuring relevant documents are distributed promptly and in the correct format.
- Take the lead in communicating instructions for service delivery, ensuring actions and decisions from client meetings are implemented and followed through to completion.
- Oversee rebid processes and contract extensions for clients, ensuring these are managed within established governance procedures.
- Lead contract and product review committees for existing and new clients (where applicable).
- Proactively manage and resolve claims and commercial issues.
- Identify and maximise opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or generating project revenue within the client portfolio, involving relevant subject matter experts to support these initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Experienced Account Director with a strong background in pensions, specifically DB pensions.
- Experience working with private sector accounts.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts effectively.
- Ability to meet individual and departmental objectives, contributing to overall business results.
- Strong team communication skills and willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Sound understanding of commercial pricing models to drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability targets.
