As part of Aegon UK\’s Investment Proposition team, the Responsible Investment Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development and implementation of responsible investment (RI) and climate strategies across Aegon’s investment propositions. The Investment Proposition department is responsible for shaping and delivering Aegon’s investment strategy, governance, and specialist support, ensuring a competitive and compliant offering in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse Responsible Investment Data: Lead the data gathering, analysis and reporting to complete requirements associated with planned Responsible Investment industry commitments from Aegon UK, including TCFD, voting records, regulatory requirements, PRI and UK Stewardship Code.

  • Reporting & Presentation: Develop a reporting framework, enhance existing fund-level reporting with information relating to Investment data from, data vendors, ESG data providers and fund managers, presenting data to forums and committees.

  • Analyse Investment Data & Strategy: Interpret investment performance and workplace strategy data to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend actions that enhance proposition value and customer outcomes.

  • Support Business Development: Provide tailored investment input for RFPs, surveys, and questionnaires across workplace channels, ensuring alignment with proposition strategy.

  • Market & Peer Comparison: Conduct comparative reviews of default structures, lifestyle strategies, and peer propositions with an RI lens to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the SME in Responsible Investment data and our Default Estate, supporting the evolution of our data analysis tools.

  • RI Data Analysis: Ability to interpret ESG and responsible investment data in a way that informs proposition strategy and customer value utilising advanced Excel skills.

  • Strategic Thinking: Skilled at connecting data insights to broader commercial and customer outcomes.

  • Commercial Awareness: Understands how investment data and RI trends influence product development and market positioning.

  • Proposition Insight: Proven experience using data to shape and evolve investment propositions within the pensions and workplace savings space.
