Purpose of the Role
Data is one of AEGIS London’s greatest assets. As the Operations Delegated Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operational delivery of delegated data processes, with a focus on the efficient, accurate and timely handling of bordereaux (risk, premium and claims data). The role sits within AEGIS’s Data Operations capability model, providing dedicated delivery support aligned to defined standards, controls and processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and outsourced partners to ensure that delegated data is validated, reconciled and processed consistently, while escalating issues where required. This role forms part of a deliberately separated delivery capability, enabling operational scalability and allowing oversight, governance and enablement activities to evolve independently. You will contribute to maintaining high‑quality delegated data and supporting reliable operational reporting, while helping reduce manual dependency through structured processes and continuous improvement.
Duties and Accountabilities
- Working with our third‑party provider monitor the end‑to‑end processing of delegated data (risk, premium and claims), including bordereaux sourcing, mapping, validation, reconciliation and issue tracking in our Bordereaux Management System.
- Monitor bordereaux receipt and retrieval, ensuring completeness and timeliness, with escalation of gaps where required.
- Perform bordereaux validation against agreed standards, business rules and Lloyd’s reporting requirements.
- Manage data queries and inbox activities, including triage, investigation and resolution with third parties and internal stakeholders.
- Support third‑party provider oversight by ensuring adherence to operational processes, data standards and service expectations.
- Assist in data quality monitoring and control activities, identifying issues, trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to operational MI and reporting, supporting visibility of delegated data performance and service delivery.
- Support process standardisation and continuous improvement, helping to reduce manual intervention and enhance efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with delegated data, bordereaux, or operational data processing within the London Market or similar environment.
- Possess a good understanding of the delegated data lifecycle, including ingestion, validation and reconciliation.
- Be familiar with Lloyd’s Coverholder Reporting Standards and delegated authority structures.
- Exhibit strong data handling capability with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
- Have experience with bordereaux management systems (e.g. VIPR Intrali) advantageous.
- Be able to manage high‑volume operational data processes in a structured and controlled manner.
- Show strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise BAU processing and query resolution.
- Have effective communication skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and third parties.
- Adopt a proactive approach to identifying issues and supporting process improvements.
