Reporting to: Marketing Manager

The energy transition needs people who can figure things out. Commercial transport is one of the hardest parts of the energy transition challenge. It’s complex, fragmented, and moving fast, and the infrastructure to support it barely exists yet. That’s exactly why we’re building it at Aegis Energy. Aegis Energy is developing a network of 50+ clean energy hubs across the UK, giving truck and van fleets genuine, practical access to electric charging, hydrogen, HVO and bio-CNG. We’re not waiting for the transition to happen. We focus on meeting the demands of the commercial vehicle sector.

We're looking for an exceptional Marketing & Communications graduate to join us. Someone who is energised by hard problems, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to do work that actually matters from day one.

About the role: This is a hands‑on, delivery-focused role supporting the Marketing Manager across the full breadth of Aegis's marketing and comms programme. You'll be involved in everything from drafting LinkedIn copy to coordinating PR activity to helping prepare materials for community engagement around our sites. Our marketing function punches above its weight - we've secured Tier 1 trade coverage, run community engagement campaigns for live planning processes, and are building a brand that a notoriously sceptical fleet industry is starting to trust. You'd be joining at exactly the right moment.

Whilst not a rotational programme, you’ll gain exposure to all parts of the business, spanning engineering, development, operations, business development, commercial, finance and corporate teams. You will learn fast, get wide exposure, and have real ownership of workstreams from early on. You will join us alongside our incoming graduate analysts and take part in the same structured training programme, development plan, and graduate cohort experience. You’ll also be given the tools and freedom to apply your fluency in AI and emerging technology in ways that genuinely change how we work and become a smarter, faster business.

Some examples of initiatives that you’ll be working on:

  • Drafting and scheduling LinkedIn content, maintaining a consistent brand voice and posting drumbeat, and supporting A/B testing of copy across social and website channels.
  • Helping coordinate press activity - briefing notes, coverage tracking, journalist outreach support, and pitching to trade publications (Logistics UK, Fuel Oil News, sector-specific EV and freight press).
  • Monitoring relevant industry news and policy developments for reactive PR opportunities, and surfacing engagement insights to inform content strategy.
  • Supporting the production of sales and marketing materials - brochures, one-pagers, event assets - working with designers and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Maintaining and updating website content, including site-specific pages as new hubs are announced.
  • Helping prepare materials for planning-stage community engagement around new sites - FAQs, leaflets, questionnaires, engagement inboxes - and monitoring local news and social media around active planning processes.
  • Supporting logistics and materials preparation for industry events and conferences, and coordinating post-event follow-up.
  • Assisting with demand research and data gathering to understand the local commercial vehicle market around each site, and compiling marketing performance reports and coverage trackers.

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You have a strong academic record, ideally with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • You have strong writing skills - clear, purposeful, and adaptable to different audiences and channels.
  • You are organised, detail-oriented and reliable, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once.
  • You are proactive and self-starting - this is a lean team and you will need to bring initiative and a bias to action.
  • You are fluent in AI and automation tools and curious about how technology can unlock better ways of working.
  • You are genuinely interested in the energy transition and what it will take to get it right, with a particular pull towards clean energy, transport, or infrastructure.
  • You have evidence of the right to work in the UK at the expected start date of the role.
