Experience: Entry-level role

The energy transition needs people who can figure things out. Commercial transport is one of the hardest parts of the energy transition challenge. It’s complex, fragmented, and moving fast, and the infrastructure to support it barely exists yet. That’s exactly why we’re building it at Aegis Energy.

Aegis Energy is developing a network of 50+ clean energy hubs across the UK, giving truck and van fleets genuine, practical access to electric charging, hydrogen, HVO and bio-CNG. We’re not waiting for the transition to happen. We focus on meeting the demands of the commercial vehicle sector.

We’re looking for a small cohort of exceptional graduates to join us — people who are energised by hard problems, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to do work that actually matters from day one.

About the role:

You’ll be joining Aegis Energy at a critical time in the company’s journey, as we begin the development of our first hubs and start supporting commercial vehicle customers on their own decarbonisation journeys. This means the work is real, the decisions matter, and you will have a direct hand in shaping how Aegis grows.

When you join us, you’ll focus on building new capabilities within a specific area of the business, giving you the opportunity to take on projects that require you to think clearly, move quickly, and bring your own ideas to the table. Whilst not a rotational programme, you’ll also be embedded across the business, working alongside and gaining exposure to all parts of the business, spanning engineering, commercial, operations, finance and corporate teams.

You’ll also be given the tools and freedom to apply your fluency in AI and emerging technology in ways that genuinely change how we work and become a smarter, faster business. We’ll invest in your growth. You’ll have a tailored development plan, close access to senior leaders, and a team around you that’s genuinely invested in your progression. We’ll expect you to push yourself, to take initiative, own your work, and not wait to be told what to do next.

Some examples of initiatives that you’ll be working on:

  • Identifying and building the case for new hub locations. Combining market analysis, commercial modelling and an understanding of where fleet operators actually need us to be.
  • Developing data strategies and digital tools that help us operate more efficiently as our network scales.
  • Using AI and other automation tools to improve the way we work. Finding practical solutions to real operational challenges within the business.
  • Supporting cross-functional projects that span commercial, engineering, finance and operations, and learning to navigate all of them.
  • Tracking developments across energy markets, transport policy and emerging technology, and translating what you find into insight the business can act on.
  • Contributing to business cases and financial models that shape real decisions.

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You’re drawn to problems that don’t have obvious answers.
  • You can hold your own in a room of experienced people — and you’re willing and excited to learn from them.
  • You think clearly under pressure and know how to prioritise.
  • You’re genuinely excited by the energy transition — not just as a career move, but as something worth getting right.
  • You’re fluent in AI tools, and curious about how technology can unlock better ways of working.
  • You come with a strong academic background in engineering, computer science, maths, economics, environmental science, or a related field — though what matters most is how you think, not what you studied.

How to apply:

Interested candidates are invited to email and submit their CV. Please include ‘Graduate Analyst - (Your Name)’ in the subject line.

There are several roles across the business where you can start your journey at Aegis Energy:

  • Corporate (organisational development, special projects, innovation, legal, HR)
  • Planning (site design, development planning, ecology, BNG, council engagement)
  • Delivery (project management, site design and development, engineering, construction)
  • Operations (site operations, retail and supplier management, QHSE, technology)
  • Commercial/BD (customer presentations, pricing models, fleet analysis, CRM, events)
  • Finance (financial planning and administration, sustainability, corporate governance)

In your email, please tell which role(s) you’re interested in, and we’ll work with successful candidates to find the best fit.
