AXS, part of AEG, is a global leader in ticketing technology, helping millions of fans access live events around the world. We're looking for two Data Engineers to join our London team. You'll work with colleagues across Europe, North America and Asia to build scalable data solutions that power our products, marketing activities and business decisions. This is an opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, real-time data pipelines and large-scale datasets in a business that sits at the heart of live entertainment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build & Deliver Data Solutions: Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Airflow and dbt. Build and manage both real-time and batch data pipelines that support AXS products and platforms.
  • Data Modelling & Analytics: Develop and optimise data models within cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery. Create reliable data structures that support reporting, analytics and business insights.
  • Improve Data Quality: Implement data quality frameworks to help ensure data is accurate, complete and reliable. Monitor and improve the performance and resilience of data pipelines.
  • Partner Across the Business: Work closely with product, marketing and leadership teams to translate business needs into practical data solutions. Share technical concepts and data insights with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive Best Practice: Support modern engineering practices including version control, CI/CD and infrastructure as code. Contribute to continuous improvements in data engineering standards, tooling and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Skills: Strong Python skills for data engineering, transformation and automation. Advanced SQL skills, including query optimisation and working with large datasets.
  • Cloud & Data Platforms: Experience working with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda or Kinesis. Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies including Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
  • Data Pipeline & Streaming Experience: Experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling. Knowledge of Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools such as Prefect or Dagster. Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka, StreamSets, AWS Kinesis or Flink.
  • Engineering Practices: Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices. Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Ways of Working: Comfortable working independently and as part of an Agile team. Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

This role is based in our London Head Office near London Bridge station. We work 3 days in the office (Tues-Thu) and 2 days from home (Monday and Friday). We also offer flexible start and end times and welcome flexible working conversations.
