We are looking for a proactive and people‐focused People Advisor to join our Birmingham team and help shape an exceptional employee experience.

What You'll Do

  • Employee Relations
    • Oversee day‐to‐day ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, family leave and performance management.
    • Escalate complex cases where necessary.
    • Maintain and analyse ER records, spotting trends and partnering with managers to drive positive change.
    • Advise and coach managers on policies, processes and employment law to ensure proactive people management.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Partner with hiring managers across the UK to manage end‐to‐end recruitment: job specs, shortlisting, interviews and offers.
    • Work with agencies when required, ensuring we keep costs to a minimum.
    • Provide accurate new starter and employee change information to payroll.
  • People & Culture Projects
    • Support and deliver initiatives across engagement, learning & development, wellbeing, and inclusion.
    • Build strong relationships with managers, using tools and insights to understand team engagement levels.
    • Help shape and deliver meaningful action plans to improve workplace culture and employee experience.
    • Keep fully up to date on changes in employment law, communicating updates and promoting relevant HR policies.
    • Encourage and support staff development and training opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • CIPD qualified or working towards it, with a strong HR administrative foundation.
  • Generalist HR experience across employee relations, recruitment, performance, sickness, family leave, contracts and Right to Work.
  • Solid understanding of UK Employment Law.
  • Experience working with varied contract types (hourly, annualised, etc.).
  • Confident handling challenging conversations.
  • Comfortable using HR systems/ATS with an appreciation for data integrity.
  • Highly organised, accurate under pressure, and a natural multitasker.
  • Strong commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially across MS Office.

This role is based in our Birmingham office near Birmingham International Airport and the NEC. We work 3 days in the office (Tues-Thu) and 2 days from home (Monday and Friday). We also offer flexible start and end times and welcome flexible working conversations.
