Help us transform our sustainability efforts by leading critical environmental services at London’s iconic entertainment venue. As our Waste & Recycling Manager, you’ll drive initiatives that will make a real difference to our planet while ensuring operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing:
Contract & Vendor Management: Managing the contracts below and establishing proper commercial relationships with contractors and subcontractors:
- Waste & Recycling Services
- Sanitary services
- Local Sustainability Initiatives & Data Capture
- Landscaping & Urban Garden Maintenance
Financial Management: Ensure smart procurement and reconciliation of labour, materials, and services. Annual operating budget preparation and reporting.
Compliance Champion: Maintain strict adherence to departmental, company, and legislative requirements.
Strategic Communication: Schedule, attend and document contract meetings, providing clear minutes to the Facilities Director.
Commercial Planning: Collaborate with the Facilities Director to develop and monitor annual plans that deliver commercial success.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Create insightful progress reports with updated costs and forecasts.
Risk Mitigation: Implement comprehensive risk management processes, regularly review the risk register, and verify risk controls.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience of managing waste and recycling service providers
- Good working knowledge of
- contract conditions,
- employment legislation,
- risk management and
- cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
- Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process
- IOSH Certification
- Ability to work flexibly in terms of hours / weekends.
