In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the venue's security, safety, emergency planning, and resilience activities. You'll help create a safe environment for artists, visitors, VIP guests, promoters, contractors, and employees, while ensuring the venue remains compliant, prepared, and operationally effective.
Working across multiple teams and alongside external partners, you'll play a key role in planning for events, managing risks, improving processes, and supporting the successful delivery of one of London's most famous live entertainment venues.
What You'll Be Doing
- Security & Emergency Planning
- Lead the venue's security operation, working with internal teams and specialist contractors to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Oversee emergency planning, incident response, and venue resilience activities across events and day-to-day operations.
- Event Delivery & Operations
- Support the safe and successful delivery of events, including Duty Manager responsibilities.
- Work closely with promoters, artists, contractors, and venue teams to plan and deliver world-class live experiences.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Lead the venue's approach to health and safety, ensuring policies, procedures, and risk management processes remain effective and compliant.
- Drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections, incident reviews, and staff training.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and support Fire Officers and contracted partners, helping maintain high standards across the venue.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in security, safety, venue operations, or event management.
- Good understanding of event security, crowd management, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
- Knowledge of health and safety, fire safety, and regulatory requirements within a live event or public venue environment.
- Skills & Approach
- Able to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable reviewing risks, solving problems, and driving improvements.
- Experience managing teams, contractors, or external partners.
