Who We Are: STC is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rails and Systems (SSE‑SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city. As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Scheduler Co‑op - Winter Term to join our team.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate, collect, verify, and integrate the work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
- Assist in updating project schedules by entering progress information under guidance from the Senior Scheduler.
- Help gather schedule inputs from site teams.
- Maintain basic schedule documentation, including activity lists, calendars, and coding structures.
- Support the preparation of weekly or monthly schedule progress reports and summaries for project meetings.
- Assist in comparing planned vs. actual progress and highlight any differences to the planning team.
- Help organize project data for resource and productivity tracking.
- File and maintain schedule records in shared drives or document control systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience You Will Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
- Strong interest in construction/infrastructure projects and project controls/planning.
- Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) would be nice to have.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to dig into data.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Self‑starter attitude, ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous experience on construction/infrastructure projects is good to have.
