STC is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rails and Systems (SSE‑SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.
As part of this project, we are currently looking for a CAD Coordinator to join our team.
What You Will Do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific CAD standards, templates, layering, and file structures in alignment with Metrolinx and municipal requirements.
- Coordinate and review multidisciplinary CAD drawings (civil, track, utilities, structures, systems) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integration.
- Perform regular QA/QC reviews of CAD deliverables at all design stages.
- Manage drawing revisions, version control, and document numbering in accordance with project document control procedures.
- Provide technical CAD support and guidance to designers and engineers; troubleshoot CAD‑related issues.
- Coordinate CAD requirements and deliverables with joint venture partners, consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Support construction activities, including shop drawings, field changes, redlines, and preparation of record and as‑built drawings.
- Assist with CAD onboarding and adherence to standards across the project team.
Experience You Will Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of CAD experience on large infrastructure or transit projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (Civil 3D an asset).
- Familiarity with Metrolinx, TTC, or municipal CAD standards is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
