This role offers the chance to participate in multi-disciplinary projects at various stages of the lifecycle, from client consultancy to comprehensive turn-key solutions.
Your responsibilities will extend to client interaction, crafting bids and proposals, and overseeing project delivery in line with AECOM's standards for quality, safety, and environmental care. In this key position, you'll spearhead the design and execution of sophisticated, high-specification systems, ensuring project objectives are met with precision. The role demands not only a grasp of engineering design and project management fundamentals but also a proven track record in navigating and completing complex projects effectively.
Ideal candidates will have experience within a tightly regulated field such as Nuclear, Defence, Petro-Chemical, or Offshore industries. A deep understanding of applicable Nuclear and general engineering standards, alongside adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements, is also key. This is an exciting time for the Nuclear Team with an interesting and expanding pipeline of both international and UK based projects.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Oversee engineering design and project activities, ensuring adherence to approved models.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, assigning and ensuring delivery of tasks.
- Comprehensive design work, including 3D modelling, functional calculations, and the production of manufacturing documentation.
- Apply expertise in handling fissile materials, utilising 3D CAD systems, and effective data management.
- Contribute to all phases of project development from mechanical sketches and scheme models to commissioning and project review meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to estimate project timelines accurately, promptly identify potential delays, and communicate changes in project scope.
- Adhere to HSE standards and contribute to QA audits, reporting any non-conformities or uphold incidents as required.
