Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a consultant in our rapidly growing Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, while also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. In this role you will work day‑to‑day on exciting and ambitious projects, developing skills and supporting more junior team members. All members of the team take an active role in client contact and commercial aspects of our projects. Health, safety and environmental considerations underpin everything that we do.
Recent and Current Projects:
- Levern Water Restoration project design and construction – East Renfrewshire Council and SEPA WEF.
- Tollcross Burn De‑culverting project – Glasgow City Council and SEPA WEF.
- Dighty Water Restoration project concept design (ongoing) – Dundee City Council and SEPA WEF.
- Glasgow Lost Rivers project concept design (ongoing) – Glasgow City Council and SEPA WEF.
- Bathgate Water Restoration project design (ongoing) – West Lothian Council and SEPA WEF.
- Alyth NFM Study – Perth and Kinross Council.
- Westquarter NFM Study and leaky barrier design – Falkirk Council.
Responsibilities:
- Support river restoration design.
- Assist the team in developing technical approaches to strategies and design work.
- Communicate with key clients internally and externally.
- Conduct geomorphological studies, including channel enhancement/restoration projects, natural flood management studies and fluvial audits.

Qualifications:
- Degree-qualified in Geography, Geomorphology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent report‑writing skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using GIS.
- A full driving licence would be beneficial as the role will involve travel for site surveys.
