Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership to grow the transport planning practice and align with broader business goals
- Build and sustain relationships with clients, providing strategic and innovative transport solutions
- Oversee complex project delivery ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence
- Lead business development, bids and multidisciplinary proposals
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team and foster collaboration and inclusion
Key requirements
- Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
- Chartered Status with CIHT or TPS
- Extensive transport planning experience focused on appraisal, business case development, or monitoring and evaluation
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results
- Knowledge of UK&I transport planning principles, policies, and regulations
- Expertise in transport appraisal and business case development
- Ability to interface with modelling and design teams
- Experience with major public sector clients in the region
- Proficiency in commonly used transport planning tools and software
