As an Associate Project Surveyor in our Southampton Team, you will be joining like-minded individuals that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Here's what you'll do:

  • You will be primarily working alongside a Director to successfully manage and deliver consultancy services on various capital projects across Southern England.
  • The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception/business case development estimates, managing costs through the design stages, procurement and onto the site delivery, commissioning and operation.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Senior Cost Managers, Cost Managers, Graduates and Apprentices.
  • Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
  • Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Managing and motivating a project team of surveyors.
  • Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants.
  • Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes.
  • Proven experience in a consulting environment/client organisation providing the full spectrum of Cost Management services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.

Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.

Full UK driving license, and a willingness to travel. CSCS card holder.
