We are seeking a Site Technician to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality survey services. The role involves conducting visual conditionsurveys and inspections, primarily on roads, to support infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate and detailed condition surveys on roads and other infrastructure.
- Ensure all survey data is collected and recorded in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive to and from survey locations, ensuring timely and efficient travel.
- Tow trailers and transport equipment safely and in accordance with legal requirements.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collecting survey data on handheld devices.
- Undertake asset data collection surveys employing GPS enabled handheld devices.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure survey results meet project objectives.
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- This role is primarily site-based, involving outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Working away from home Monday-Friday will be required for some projects.
- Working occasional night shifts, paid at 1.5x your standard hourly rate.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 5 GCSEs (Including Maths and English grade C and above)
- Full UK Driving licence
- A detail-driven approach with a strong focus on accuracy and safety
Previous experience in surveying, civil engineering, or highways projects is advantageous, as well as relevant competencies such as:
- CSCS Card – proof of site safety awareness.
- Safety Critical Medical – fit for safety-critical work.
- Trailer Towing Competency – ability to transport equipment safely.
