Job Description
Our Southampton team continues to grow, with specific growth demand within the Education, Defence, Commercial, Residential, Care and Industrial markets. If you are a Senior Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, this role could be for you.
As a Senior Project Surveyor in our Southampton Team, you will:
- Provide a full suite of Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
- Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Surveyors, Graduates and Apprentices.
- Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
- Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
- Deliver cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk.
- Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools.
- Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors.
- Able to work under own initiative while working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates.
Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
- Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
- CSCS card.
