We are looking for a Senior Tunnelling Engineer to work on major civil projects across the UK.

Although advertised as a full‐time role, part‐time options will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Act as a design lead for project elements, liaising with clients and the wider design team for day‐to‐day design development, under guidance of a technical lead or mentor.

Manage junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements.

Provide input to development of engineering budget and programme to meet requirements.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering; MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical or Tunnelling Engineering, and/or working toward professional membership.

Broad experience designing reinforced concrete to Eurocodes for underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in‐situ concrete structural elements, D‐walls, shafts and tunnels.

Good familiarity of Geotechnical Engineering principles as they apply to soil‐structure interaction.
