As a Senior Project Surveyor, you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, ranging in value from £5m–£500m, and provide a comprehensive, accurate, and value-driven service for large, high‑profile and exciting key clients in various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to junior members of staff, including but not limited to graduates and apprentices.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
- Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
Qualifications – Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualified – BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
- Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including pre‑contract estimating; procurement; contract administration, cost reporting and final account resolution.
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools.
- Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Residential, commercial, and education sector experience would be advantageous.
- Able to work under own initiative where appropriate, working closely with Senior Cost Managers and Associates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professionally qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying status with RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
- CSCS card.
