Shaping Ireland's Transport Future (Roads, Public Transport, and Greenways)

AECOM's Surface Transportation Team in Ireland—a 150+ strong professional networkoperatingacross Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Belfast – is thriving due to significant growthfuelledby a robust pipeline of major Roads, Public Transport and Greenway programmes.

We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Engineer (or similar Senior Infrastructure Engineer) to join our150+ strongtransportationteamin Ireland.

We welcome applications from those with industry experience and the ambition to progress from their current role to become a Chartered Engineer in future that will lead our projects for our clients.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will:

  • Manage& leaddesign packages on a diverse range of projects from concept to construction stage, including:
  • Major highways,rail, and light railprojects
  • Bus infrastructure projects (to LTN 1/24, NTA standards)
  • Greenway/active travel projects (toTII PMGs/Cycling by Design/TIIstandards).
  • Know and apply UK and/or Irish design standards including(the UK & Irish DMRB, Cycle by Design,DMURS, Cycle Design Manual)to create safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • Deliver high quality deliverables and service to our clients, meeting our quality standards and their expectations within time and budget constraints.
  • Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team, seamlessly collaborating with technicians,engineersand specialists in other disciplines (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental).
  • Work directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, guiding them through technical challenges and relevant statutory approval processes (Northern Ireland Roads Order,Republic of IrelandPlanning Permission, Environmental Impact Assessment).
  • Develop our team, through mentoring of apprentices, contributing to AECOM’s culture of growth and continuous learning.
