Here’s what you’ll do:
- Support the Edinburgh team to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations.
- Manage design scope to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme constraints supported by the wider team.
- Work collaboratively with the wider teams in Edinburgh to support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding and maintain awareness of current industry practices and innovations.
- Lead the quality assurance process for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.
Team Development
- Develop and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Support a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the project team in discussions with clients, colleagues and external partners, communicating technical information clearly and effectively.
Health & Safety Leadership
- Possess a strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Education Base – BEng or MEng Civil Engineering Degree (or suitable equivalent).
- Professional Accreditation – Be professionally qualified or working towards accreditation with a relevant body (ICE, CIWEM etc.).
- Technical Knowledge – Have experience working within the water, wastewater and/or flood risk management sector leading project teams and managing design scope.
- Project Management – Have experience in client facing project management to support the efficient running of projects and programmes. Contribute to a strong commercial performance of project delivery. Have an understanding of construction and professional services contracts.
