Join our team as a Marine Associate Director and you will have the opportunity to work on our range of marine projects in sectors such as offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports and harbours, and coastal developments.
By joining us, you will work daily with technical experts, including our in-house marine ecology team, within our established Environmental Impact (EIA) team which comprises over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland. We are a founding member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) EIA Quality Mark, whilst everything we do aligns with our environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy.
In this role you will lead and input to our growing portfolio of high-profile marine projects. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Provide Expertise: Lead, manage and co-ordinate multidisciplinary environmental inputs across a diverse range of marine projects.
- Manage Quality: Ensure that our deliverables are produced to the highest quality standards and compliance with our rigorous quality management procedures.
- Project Management: Make effective use of your project management skills, appropriately managing resources and budgets.
- Collaborate: Work as part of an integrated team to improve the environmental outcomes of our projects.
- Client Contact: Manage client relationships, internal teams and subcontractors.
- Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services to both internal and external audiences.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Masters degree) and ideally an appropriate professional membership (Chartered Environmentalists preferred).
- Comprehensive EIA consultancy experience, with proven skills in managing the preparation of environmental reports.
- A detailed understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes around the UK and ideally Ireland.
- The ability to lead collaborative teams, coordinating inputs from technical specialists.
- Project management skills, including programming, staff resource and budget management.
- A commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
- Efficient verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing.
