This is an exciting time to join the AECOM Energy team covering all aspects of work within Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Renewables and Nuclear decommissioning, alongside our ever-expanding digital scope. We are seeking experienced BIM Managers to support advanced digital delivery across multiple opportunities.
The BIM Manager will be responsible for leading BIM delivery in line with ISO 19650 best practice, overseeing multidisciplinary BIM/CAD production, information coordination, and model-based collaboration across project teams and supply chains. The role requires strong leadership in implementing and managing BIM standards, processes, and digital workflows at project and programme level.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- BIM Implementation Strategy – develop BIM Implementation strategy & deliver complex international projects.
- CDE Management – establish & administer the CDE & support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects.
- Project Management – coordinate BIM execution & project delivery with project leadership.
- BIM Execution – create & maintain the project’s industry framework docs: BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.
- Technical Support – establish data-integrated workflows for Water Plant projects & provide support, guidance & training to project teams.
- Digital Technology & Content Management – oversee the production of smart object content, templates & libraries in the context of the project.
- Quality – establish & administer the digital quality assurance control procedures.
- Collaboration – be an ambassador for a global group working with AECOM region project teams and other Enterprise Capabilities Digital departments.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the ISO 19650 framework and related BIM standards.
- Experience managing and delivering project information on multidisciplinary Energy projects.
- Experience delivering BIM data using industry-standard software, including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D, and others.
- Experience working with and administering a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Proven experience in multi-discipline coordination, clash detection, and issue management.
- Strong background in the technical production of 3D and 2D model deliverables for Energy infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of process diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Visual programming skills preferred, with working knowledge of Dynamo or Grasshopper.
- A demonstrable portfolio of BIM delivery on Energy projects.
Professional Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial or Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural or Design Technology, or related discipline.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
